No more images next to Google Adsense - end of the Honeymoon ?

The official Google Adsense blog announced that it would be a violation of policy to place small images next to Adsense Ads. After a lot of hemming and hawing, Google finally took the step to ban images next to Adsense Ads. The move is understandable, as a lot of clickthroughs may have been prompted by images such as girls in skimpy clothing next to the Ads and the Advertisers must have complained about the low quality of clicks. Google’s clarification is causing a lot of heartburn to publishers using Adsense, and the mood varies from one of anger to resignation.

I personally feel that, Google should come with its own version of Ads with small images next to them and help the publishers make money before Ad Blindness sets in for the new format too.
