The ‘N’ word stirs up very strong reactions in people. It is considered to be one of the most degrading and racist words in the English language. An Alabama College is holding a conference to address the origins of the ‘N’ Word and whether juggling a few letters makes it socially acceptable. Organizers feel that “the goal of the event is to challenge the use of the n-word through the use of intelligent dialogue and a thorough examination of black history.”It is quite painful for some that the word is being adopted and freely used by young black kids, who are completely ignorant of the origins of the word.Link to the article on CNN.
