Watch two hilarious clips from Fonejacker – the hit British prank call show. The Fonejacker played by actor Kayvan Novak, calls people and tries to strike up an inane conversation with them. He has quite a few interesting alter egos like George Agdgdgwngo the sleazy Ugandan scamster and Mr Doovdé who struggles with acronyms, often mistaking them for complete words. The audio is accompanied by on-screen animations, the style of which can be closely mimics that of the Monty Python series.

This campy but insanely cool video shows 1,500 jailbirds practising the dance moves to Michael Jackson’s Monster-hit Thriller, at the Cebu Provincial Detention and Rehabilitation Center in Philippines. The theatrical “girl” in the video must be probably having a good great time in prison.

Watch these two great animation shorts. They are not your average Disney cartoons.

Things that go bump in the night. Joshua Beveridge, made this film for his senior year thesis at Ringling School of Art and Design in Florida. The film begins with a classic setup, but ends with an unexpected twist.

Beveridge says:

I was definitely pulling ideas from Monsters Inc – I’m a huge fan of Pixar – and The Polar Express, and at the beginning I wanted to set up a kind of nostalgic feel. This film could be happening on Christmas night – it’s a night of magic, there’s something in the air and you don’t quite know what it is.

Edit: The moron who photographed and uploaded the stuff has left his camera’s EXIF data in the images. Hope someone would find this useful.

Note: This post has no spoilers.

It just had to happen. The entire Internet will be ablaze in a few hours. The ending for one of the most famous books of our time has been revealed. And this time it may just be real. The entire (badly) scanned/photographed edition of the book is on the net and it’s only a matter of time before the shit hits the fan. And the torrent sites are having a field day with it. It’s just a matter of time before you get that sms or email blaring the ending. It’s a sad day for all Potter fans (me included). I just hope it’s the biggest hoax ever.

Some spy shots of the Joker in action on the sets of the upcoming Batman movie. As you can see, this is a new beginning and reimagination for the classic clown prince of thieves. It’s more of a demented-street-punk style for the Joker, this time around. And for those of you who don’t know already, it’s Heath Ledger underneath the face paint.Joker played by Heath Ledger in Batman:The Dark Knight Returns

Dr. Seuss was one of my favorite writers during my childhood, and I absolutely adored his Cat In The Hat (hated the movie version though). He was also a political cartoonist for the New York newspaper PM, and did his bit for the American war effort during World War II.

Dr. Seuss opposed racism in America, and his cartoons deplored the unfortunate treatment of Jews and African Americans in America during the war. But paradoxically, he considered all Japanese Americans as traitors or fifth-columnists. He created some nasty cartoons which depict the flawed Japanese stereotypes of those times, complete with slanted eyes and pig noses – something which no self-respecting newspaper would dare to print today.

The following picture shows Japanese Americans being taken to the internment camps, a sad and disgusting chapter in American history.

Watch this parody video of Hitler losing his temper after being banned on Xbox live. The clip has been taken from Der Untergang (Downfall), a German movie based on the last few days of the Fuhrer’s. Bruno Hanz, the actor playing Hitler’s role in the movie was well appreciated for his rather uncanny and chilling portrayal.

There are two versions of the subtitled video. The clean version and the one with Hitler using his potty mouth.

Walt Disney must be really rolling in his grave. These snippets are from a kids program called Tomorrow’s pioneers on the Al-Aqsa channel. The channel affiliated to Hamas believes in catching them young, and I mean really young. The makers of the program have created a character called Farfour (Butterfly?), a lookalike of one of the most endearing American toon characters – Mickey Mouse. But this Mickey shows kids how to kill Israelites and Americans by shooting them and then blowing them up with grenades. He is accompanied by the child-host Saraa (looking wise beyond her years), who shares his views on jihad and various other playful activities.

On the final episode of the show, Farfour is beaten to death by an Israeli who was trying to buy his land and Saraa mourns the death of brave “martyr” Farfour at hands of “the killers of children.”

Watch this creative ad for Epuron – a German company. I cannot reveal anything more as that would lessen the impact. Simple but evocative.
