Long-time fans of the Japanese Simpsons (on cable), have expressed outrage on the move to replace the current Japanese voice actors with more popular TV celebrities for the new Simpsons movie. Fox Japan hopes to popularize the Simpsons in a big way, hence the move. Mainstream Japan knows very less about the Simpsons, and only a few may remember the CC Lemon ads featuring the Simpsons.
