The Monster Blog is a tribute to the monster themed Marvel comics of Jack Kirby and Stan Lee in the late 50’s and early 60’s.
There are more than 200+ retro comic book covers in the archives, including some iconic ones like Amazing Fantasy #15 (first-ever appearance by Spider-Man) and The Incredible Hulk #1.
The site also has 39 complete Jack Kirby Monster comics that were never reprinted. This one is particularly interesting – We Were Trapped in the Twilight World!. The comic is about the adventures of couple who are trapped in a pre-historic world after passing through a “strange, heavy vapor.” They encounter dinosaurs, abominable snowmen and strangely enough, an English speaking Cro-Magnon caveman!.
