Meet "Nexi," MIT media lab’s eerily-similar, female version of Robin Williams’ Bi-Centennial Man.  Nexi is an MDS (Mobile Dextrous Social) robot designed to mimic human expressions and behaviour. It’s more of a glorified toy than an autonomous robot, due to the fact that it uses "scripted animations and pre-recorded speech."

Folks, if this is what the future looks like, you will have to drag me kicking and screaming into it. I am scared, very scared.
