I really had fun with this all day long.
Google has added one more interesting facet to its already impressive search capabilities. You can now hunt for priceless, high-resolution photographs from the Life Magazine photo archive. The archive has over 2 million photographs, and soon, another 8 million will be uploaded by the search giant. The images have been collected from a period spanning from the 1750s to the 1970s.
I found some fantastic images of the voluptuous Rita Hayworth (my favorite old time actress), Gene Kelly, Ronald Reagan, D-Day, the battle of Iwo Jima, and Mark Twain.
Check out the Google Life photo archive here, or alternatively append "source:life" to any Google image search.
