Animator and cartoonist Levni Yilmaz creates “animated” short films using a rather innovative technique and medium.
Yilmaz draws on translucent paper stuck on glass, and captures the process on film on the other side to create the illusion of movement. All this while narrating his insightful, angst–ridden thoughts. The results looks quite fluid, and much more personal and organic than traditional animation.
His short film ‘Youth & Aging’ talks about the fleeting transience of youth and the painful process of growing old. You can watch it after the jump.
