Japan’s Thinnest Buildings

Japan is not only the 10th most populated country in the world, but also has a population density of around 879 people per square mile. This naturally makes the country’s real estate some of the most expensive in the world.

The people of the country have coped up with this shortage of land by constructing increasingly ‘narrower’ buildings to live in.

The WebUrbanist has compiled a pictorial gallery of such buildings, which only makes me appreciate the enterprising Japanese, even more.
