Khoda – An Award-Winning Short Film

Reza Dolatabadi, the director of the multi-award winning Khoda, wanted each frame of his graduation film to look like a painting.  His labor of love took over 2 years to complete – as he had to painstakingly create 6000 lush paintings to make his 5 minute film.

The animated film has been described as a “psychological thriller” by its maker. It depicts the terrifying struggles an individual undergoes to escape the confines of a claustrophobic prison. Except that this prison is unlike any other. The ending of the film is left open for interpretation by the viewer.

Super Heroes – A Short Award Winning Film

Um, I love watching women in Wonder Woman costumes.

Super Powers, a short, humorous  film directed by John Mitchell and Jeremy Kipp Walker, was the winner in the ‘Best Narrative Short Film’ category at the 2007 Tribeca Film Festival.

A young (heterosexual) couple decide to add some excitement into their jaded married life by dressing up as superheroes. This plan, however, leads to some unexpected and funny complications, but the couple finally manage to fire up some much-needed passion in their lives.

The film has some bad language, so it’s slightly NSFW.
