A battle of wits between an animator and his creation is a popular theme for many cartoonists, who are usually starved for fresh ideas.
Sometimes the results can be superb, like the Duck Amuck episode where Daffy Duck takes on his animator (who later turns out to be Bugs Bunny). This particular animation may not be as grand as that brilliant piece of filmmaking, but is quite entertaining nevertheless.
