Don’t Drink the Water – Art Print

dont-drink-the-stuff

Wale Bambose aka LifeVersa will be releasing the second print from his "Grandpa’s Bedtime Stories" series.

The print is titled "Don’t Drink The Stuff," and is a light and humorous take on a rather serious issue: dirty water kills more people than any form of violence, including war.

Wale says that a variant metallic print will also be released. Both the limited edition regular and variant are 18"x24" hand pulled screen prints, and will come hand numbered and signed by the artist.

The Art of the Couto Brothers

A selection of art from the portfolio of the super-talented Alex and Chris Couto (aka the Couto Brothers).

Flight-of-the-Goldfish-(Through-Love)

Snip from their site:

The artwork of the Couto Brothers is the culmination of the creative energies of two distinctly different individuals who share not only common blood, but a common drive for artistic exploration and excellence. Their exploration takes place not only on canvas but in their daily lives. The brothers have been influenced by five continents. Beyond having extensive travels in Europe and Africa the brothers were raised in Brazil and had periods of living in both China and India.

Their diverse cultural inspiration translates directly into their Work. Despite having many shared experiences they are in fact very opposite people. Their differences fuel an artistic union that allows them to complement each other to the fullest. Both brothers would say they are self taught. but in fact their strongest teachers are each other.

Kim Gordon’s Paintings on Wood

Gorgeous mixed media paintings by Kim Gordon, a New York based-artist.

Kim-Gordon_Maria-Full-Of-Grace

Maria Full Of Grace, Acrylic and Graphite on Wood, 11 x 14 inches.

Kim says:

I’m born, raised…and currently reside in New York. I work primarily with acrylics and graphite on wood. With every piece I try to balance the paint, pencil and wood so that each plays off the other with just the right feel. The wood grain, being a natural element, tells you how it wants to be seen. I let it lead me. I get to a good place with each piece, like the elements and I worked together as a team. I don’t know if I could ever go back to canvas!
